I love the old comic books made for girls like Teen-Age Love. They have amazing graphics, especially on the covers, and always include a soap opera story inside. Although some of them are collectible, many of the lower grade quality comics are considered useless. I find a new life for them by cutting the already damaged pages up into pieces for my collage or mixed media art.
Paired with other vintage elements, such as pages from 1950s magazines, and fun phrases, these comic book images come to life as greeting cards and collage art. You can see my growing collection of original OOAK prints here.
